  1. Job Purpose
  • The Maintenance Manager, (a DGCA postholder) will be responsible to ensure the ongoing maintenance of our aircraft fleet and sims at the FTO, in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The MM will also fulfill all regulatory responsibilities of the postholder.
  1. Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement a maintenance program under Air India’s Car 145 for the FTO fleet, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, airline and industry best practices
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program for all aircrafts and flight training devices, ensure maintenance and inspections, and tracking of maintenance records
  • Develop and implement a stocking system and an ERP for optimal maintenance
  • Sync with airline maintenance standards to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor the performance of the aircraft and equipment to identify potential issues and take corrective action as necessary
  • Investigate and report on incidents and accidents related to aircraft maintenance and operation
  • Implement policies and training to maintenance personnel on best practices for aircraft maintenance and safety
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.

  1. Educational and Experience Requirements

Education requirements

  • AME licence in Category B1.2 or B3 in metal and composite category.

 

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s -Technical degree.

Experience

  • 10+ years experience in aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management

 

  • Prior experience in DGCA-approved positions in FTOs/ATOs/NSOPs/Airlines in India

 

  • Experience with single-and twin-engine fleet <3,000 kgs
  • 15+ years experience in aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management

 

 

  • Prior experience with similar fleet (Piper and Diamond aircrafts)
