A. Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive medical support at the Flying Training Organization (FTO), ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of trainees and staff. The role encompasses preventive care, emergency response, medical administration, and compliance with aviation safety and regulatory standards.
B. Key Accountabilities
Conduct Breath Alcohol (BA) testing in line with DGCA and organizational regulations.
Deliver timely and effective medical responses to elective and emergency situations.
Maintain accurate medical inventory records and ensure replenishment of first aid and emergency kits.
Oversee medical administration, documentation, and compliance at the FTO.
Support safety, security, and quality initiatives by adhering to established medical and safety protocols.
Collaborate with operational and safety teams to promote a culture of health and safety awareness.
C. Key Performance Indicators
Compliance rate of BA testing as per regulatory requirements.
Response time and effectiveness in handling medical emergencies.
Accuracy of medical inventory management and kit replenishment.
Quality and completeness of medical documentation and reporting.
Adherence to safety protocols and contribution to SSQ initiatives.
D. Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirements
Registered professionals under the Nursing Council of India.
Registered professionals under the Pharmacy Council of India.
Registered professionals under Allied Health and Healthcare Professions, as per the National Commission of Allied and Healthcare Professions Act 2021 (e.g., Emergency Medical Technician).
Experience
Minimum: 0–5 years of experience in respective field.
Desired: Prior experience in the aviation industry is an advantage.
