A. Job Purpose

  • Ensure seamless functioning of airline partnerships and operational systems.
  • Collaborate with tech teams to resolve system issues affecting bookings and customer data.
  • Identify and implement system enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Support smooth operations across ticketing, reservations, check-in, and boarding.

 

B. Key Accountabilities

Functional Activities:

  • Oversee integration of PSS with other systems for smooth data flow.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of codeshare arrangements in PSS.
  • Manage operational integration of interline agreements (baggage, check-in, flight info).
  • Coordinate with external vendors to maintain system compliance and updates.
  • Lead testing and deployment of new system versions and features.
  • Analyze booking patterns and system usage for strategic improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize PSS for operational efficiency.
  • Conduct ongoing training for team on system updates and industry trends.
  • Act as point of contact for reservation and booking system queries.
  • Translate business requirements into PSS configurations/customizations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance system workflows and UX.
  • Recommend system upgrades to improve performance.
  • Implement enhancements and conduct system testing.
  • Ensure PSS compliance with DGCA and industry regulations.
  • Align PSS with business goals in coordination with IT, Ops, RM, and Customer Service.
  • Support integration of third-party applications with PSS.

 

C. Skills Required

  • Strong technical background in system management and troubleshooting.
  • Adaptability to dynamic business environments.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Project management and task prioritization capabilities.
  • Familiarity with GDS, APIs, system integrations, and software development.
  • Proficiency in Excel.

 

D. Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in airline operations, commercial partnerships, or passenger services.
    • Hands-on experience with PSS (preferably Navitaire).
    • Experience integrating PSS with other business systems.
