Role Overview
- Air India Express is looking for an experienced Employee Benefits Specialist to manage and administer end-to-end employee benefit programs, with a strong focus on Mediclaim / Group Health Insurance, Car Lease, and Non-CTC Reimbursements.
- Given the critical and employee-sensitive nature of Mediclaim and benefits administration in an aviation organization, this role demands continuous alertness, vigilance, accuracy, and responsiveness. The incumbent will play a key role in ensuring timely support to employees, effective vendor management, and flawless day-to-day benefits operations.
- This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role, requiring full-time on-site presence at the Gurgaon office.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Benefits Administration
- Manage end-to-end Mediclaim / Group Health Insurance operations, including enrollments, endorsements, claims coordination, renewals, and audits
- Administer Car Lease programs, ensuring policy compliance, eligibility validation, and smooth coordination with vendors
- Handle Non-CTC reimbursements, including verification, processing, documentation, and employee communication
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for insurers, TPAs, car lease vendors, and other benefit partners
- Monitor SLA adherence, resolve issues proactively, and manage escalations effectively
- Work closely with Payroll, Finance, HR Operations, and other internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
- Employee Query Management
- Handle day-to-day employee queries related to benefits with accuracy, empathy, and professionalism
- Ensure minimal turnaround time (TAT) and clear communication on all benefit-related matters
- Proactively communicate policy updates, process changes, and benefit enhancements
- Operational Control, Vigilance & Compliance
- Maintain high levels of alertness and vigilance, particularly in Mediclaim-related transactions, claims, and communications
- Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, confidentiality norms, and applicable statutory requirements
- Maintain accurate MIS, trackers, documentation, and audit support
- Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience
Required Qualifications
Education
- MBA (Regular) from a premium institute
- (HR / Operations / Finance preferred)
Experience
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in employee benefits administration
- Extensive experience managing Mediclaim, Car Lease, and Reimbursement programs
- Proven exposure to day-to-day operations and employee-facing roles
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and risk awareness, especially in insurance and benefits handling
- Ability to remain alert, vigilant, and responsive in a high-responsibility environment
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Comfortable working in a 5-day WFO setup in Gurgaon
