Job Purpose-

Responsible for developing comprehensive PR strategies aligned with the airline's brand identity, values, and business objectives

Key Accountabilities-

Functional Activities

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with the airline's brand identity, values, and business objectives.
  2. Identify opportunities to generate positive media coverage and manage media relations to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
  3. Cultivate relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure positive coverage and placement for the airline in relevant publications and channels.
  4. Proactively pitch stories, news releases, and thought leadership content to media contacts to generate coverage and raise awareness of key initiatives.
  5. Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials to announce news, events, and corporate announcements.
  6. Develop compelling content for media pitches, op-eds, bylines, and interviews to showcase the airline's expertise and thought leadership.
  7. Develop and implement crisis communication plans and protocols to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks and emergencies.
  8. Serve as a spokesperson for the airline and coordinate media responses during crisis situations, ensuring transparency and accuracy in communication.
  9. Lead the development and execution of sustainability communication strategies, highlighting the airline's commitment to environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
  10. Communicate the airline's sustainability initiatives, achievements, and progress to internal and external stakeholders through PR campaigns and media outreach.
  11. Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, product launches, and sponsorships, ensuring positive media coverage and visibility for the airline.
  12. Manage media relationships and facilitate interviews, photo opportunities, and media interactions at events and press briefings.
  13. Track and analyze media coverage, PR performance, and sentiment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of PR strategies and campaigns.
  14. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate PR results, insights, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
